Hartshorn Village & Marina
Hartshorn Municipal Marina is known to the locals as a “hidden gem.” Settled in between the Boys and Girls Club of the Lakeshore and Fricano’s of Muskegon Lake, Hartshorn is the City of Muskegon’s “waterfront park”, which is currently managed by Leestma Management, better associated with Adelaide Pointe. Hartshorn offers a special “pull your car right up to your slip” parking, mixed with a significant patch of green grass opposite of the parking lot to allow the use of grills next to your slip and plenty of space to walk animals.
Using land donated by Hartshorn Curtain Roll Factory, the City of Muskegon, with help from the Michigan State Waterways Commission, developed Hartshorn’s Large Boat Basin in the 1950s. Hartshorn Marina’s location offers a short walk to the Downtown scene, an even shorter walk to Heritage Landing, which hosts the Christian Festival “Unity”, and unique access to the bike trail, which is situated right outside of the gates. Hartshorn isn’t just a marina though. Hartshorn also offers condos, which are situated right outside of the gates and can be bought via Harbor West (a sub business underneath Adelaide Pointe). Condo owners are granted one slip inside of Hartshorn Marina guaranteed. Hartshorn also offers a launch ramp, located less than half a mile away from the main gates.
